What is the Peplink MAX Orbit series?

LEO Satellite Connectivity · Answered by FirstNet Technology Services

Short answer

MAX Orbit is Peplink's new router series for multi-orbit sites: it bonds several satellite terminals with fibre and cellular links.

In detail: What is Peplink MAX Orbit?

The three models:

  • MAX Orbit 2: for small deployments, with 2 Orbit ports, 1 GE LAN, Wi-Fi 6 and GPS
  • MAX Orbit 4: for high-bandwidth sites, with 4 Orbit ports, 2 x 2.5GE WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi 6 and GPS
  • MAX Orbit 8: the hub for high-density sites, with 8 PoE+ Orbit ports, 10GE and SFP+ WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi 7 and GPS

All three are rugged, vibration-tolerant units for mines, vessels, vehicles and remote sites. A health light shows at a glance whether every satellite link is up, a backup is down, or the site is offline.

FirstNet is a Peplink Certified Partner and supplies MAX Orbit as part of a managed LEO service on Eutelsat OneWeb. Availability follows Peplink's release, and specifications come from Peplink.
