FirstNet network map
FirstNet connects to the internet at 14 exchanges and 7 data centres in 10 cities, from Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town to London, New York, São Paulo and Singapore.
Global peering
FirstNet runs its own network, with its own network number (AS328366). At an internet exchange it swaps traffic directly with other networks, so your data takes a shorter path and passes through fewer hands. Links to New York and São Paulo come into Cape Town rather than Johannesburg, so international traffic does not all depend on one city.
