Short answer
It depends on the outcome you need most. FirstNet Private Cloud replaces on-premises servers, Backup as a Service gives you an offsite backup copy, Disaster Recovery as a Service keeps systems running during an outage and colocation hosts your own hardware. A short discovery session with FirstNet usually makes the right starting point clear.
In detail
As a guide:
- Ageing servers or a server room you want to exit: Private Cloud, or colocation if you want to keep your own hardware
- No independent offsite copy of your servers: Backup as a Service, powered by Veeam
- Systems that must keep running if your site goes down: Disaster Recovery as a Service, with reserved recovery capacity
- Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or laptop data at risk: cloud backup powered by Druva
- Scattered Microsoft licences and invoices: Microsoft licensing through FirstNet's CSP agreement
The services are designed to work together, so you can start with one building block and add others later, with FirstNet as the single accountable provider for design, delivery and support. Many organisations combine them, for example Private Cloud with immutable backups, or production in one city with disaster recovery in another.
