Short answer
Yes. FirstNet DIA is compatible with enterprise routing platforms, SD-WAN, firewall and cloud connectivity solutions, and supports static public IP addressing.
In detail
DIA is often chosen precisely because it makes a stable foundation for those platforms. What it brings to the design:
- Dedicated 1:1 contention on local and international traffic
- Symmetric, committed bandwidth that does not degrade at peak
- Predictable latency, jitter and packet-loss characteristics
- Static public IP addressing and enterprise routing, delivered as a Layer 3 service into the FirstNet core
Common designs include DIA as an SD-WAN hub underlay (a stable, uncontended underlay for SD-WAN and managed security), a resilient internet edge with dual-homed DIA or DIA plus broadband failover behind your firewall, and DIA as the primary internet for a head office or data centre.
If you want FirstNet to manage the overlay as well, FirstNet SD-WAN runs across DIA, broadband, LTE/5G, microwave and LEO satellite underlays, with FirstNet's Connectivity and Security teams validating the architecture together before rollout. Integration details such as IP addressing and routing are confirmed during qualification and feasibility.
