Short answer
A standard FirstNet business fibre service includes the fibre circuit, a FirstNet-managed router, a static public IP address and a PRTG monitoring sensor, so the link is watched for up/down status and bandwidth from day one. Microwave services include the licensed radio link, an indoor router and PRTG monitoring.
In detail
The fibre service in more detail:
- Symmetric or asymmetric, uncapped business fibre
- Uncontended on local (on-net) traffic, with international contention capped at 1:4 and only during undersea cable failures
- Up to two static public IPs by default: one on the router and one for your own use
- NOC incident response, with FirstNet liaising with the carrier on your behalf
- Availability targets up to 99.5% on premium networks and 99% on standard
Optional extras include additional static IPs, a dedicated (uncontended) fibre variant and a second fibre link on an alternate carrier. Delivery follows a set path: order intake, feasibility validation, provisioning, install and test, then a Service Handover Form, after which the NOC monitors the link. Standard support runs during business hours, with after-hours callout for severity 1 issues.
