What certifications and security partner accreditations does FirstNet hold?

Security · Answered by FirstNet Technology Services

Short answer

FirstNet runs ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 9001 (quality) management systems, and holds ECS and ECNS licences from ICASA. It is also a Sophos Titanium Partner, a Mimecast Elite partner, and a Fortinet, Cloudflare and Netskope partner.

In detail

Its security vendors hold their own certificates for their platforms, and you can ask to see them. FirstNet holds partner status with each platform it runs as a managed service:

  • Sophos Titanium Partner and MSP: Titanium is the top tier of the Sophos Partner Program. It comes with advanced certification and a direct path to escalate issues into Sophos for firewall, endpoint and MDR clients.
  • Mimecast Elite Managed Services Partner, in the Mimecast Partner ONE MSP Programme.
  • Fortinet partner: FirstNet runs FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for several client estates in live use. It escalates to Fortinet TAC through FortiCare.
  • Cloudflare and Netskope partner, with partner-tier escalation to each vendor's tech teams.

Certificates do not move your compliance duties to FirstNet. Compliance stays a shared job. FirstNet's product and legal teams review formal security questionnaires and contract wording.

Ask FirstNet for the certificates or vendor statements that your buying or audit process needs.
