Where is FirstNet Compliance Recording data hosted?

Compliant Call Recording & Analytics · Answered by FirstNet Technology Services

Short answer

Hosting location and data residency are confirmed during solution design, based on your regulatory and contractual needs, and then documented in the design and your contract. FirstNet does not commit to a hosting location before that review.

In detail

How residency is decided:

  • In discovery, FirstNet captures whether you need in-country or regional hosting, any data sovereignty constraint and any residency wording in your client contracts.
  • FirstNet's voice engineers review platform fit and residency as part of solution design.
  • The agreed hosting and residency are written into the solution design and contract, so they can be audited later.
  • Your data-processing terms are signed in a Data-Processing Addendum before onboarding.

Wherever recordings are hosted, they sit in tamper-proof storage with AES-256 rotating encryption at rest and in transit, MFA on admin and reviewer access, granular permissions and audit logs. Onboarding, configuration and support are delivered locally by FirstNet.

If your policies or client contracts require South African residency, raise it at the start of the conversation so it shapes the platform choice and design rather than being added later.
