LEO with Peplink: satellite, fibre and 5G as one connection

Peplink routers bond Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite with fibre and 5G into one connection, and Peplink's new MAX Orbit series bonds several satellite terminals on one router.

A satellite link on its own is a single point of failure, and a backup link that sits idle is easy to forget until the day it is needed. FirstNet now pairs its enterprise LEO satellite service on Eutelsat OneWeb with Peplink routers, so satellite, fibre and 5G work as one connection.

Bonded, not just backup

  • Hot failover: with SpeedFusion bonding, a live call or remote desktop session carries on when a dish or fibre link drops
  • SpeedFusion Boost keeps throughput high over lossy, high-latency satellite and cellular links, so a slow link does not hold back a fast one
  • Live OneWeb status in InControl 2, watched by the FirstNet NOC, so a problem is seen before users feel it
  • MAX Orbit 2: for small deployments, with two satellite terminals
  • MAX Orbit 4: for high-bandwidth sites, with room to add terminals
  • MAX Orbit 8: the hub for high-density sites, powering up to eight terminals

All three are rugged, vibration-tolerant routers for mines, farms, lodges, vessels and construction sites. Availability follows Peplink's release.

Where it fits

LEO with Peplink is the edge of the FirstNet Modern Network for sites where fibre is far away or not enough on its own. FirstNet is a Peplink Certified Partner.
