Yeastar has named FirstNet Technology Services a winner of its Cloud UC Evangelist Award. The award was presented at the Yeastar Summit in China, where FirstNet was one of two winners worldwide, alongside AUSARTA CONECTA from Spain.
What the award recognises
Yeastar gives the Cloud UC Evangelist Award to partners who have been true champions of cloud communications: partners who actively promote cloud unified communications and generate the strongest business growth from it. In Yeastar’s words, their passion and dedication are helping more businesses discover the benefits of cloud communications.
Ushika Gayapershad accepted the award on FirstNet’s behalf. “We haven’t just followed the evolution of the voice industry; we’ve helped drive it,” she said. “And we’re only getting started.”
From telephony to the cloud
FirstNet’s voice business has moved with the industry, from traditional telephony to IP telephony, hosted voice and cloud communications. Today that means:
- Yeastar Cloud PBX, as dedicated systems or on a shared multi-tenant platform
- FirstNet’s own SIP trunks and interconnects with all major South African network operators
- Connectivity into each office, so voice traffic is prioritised from the handset to the network
- Certified Yeastar specialists and a local 24x7 support desk
The award builds on earlier recognition from Yeastar: FirstNet was a Yeastar Hosting Partner award winner in 2025, and was named Yeastar’s number one hosting partner in South Africa.
