Short answer
FirstNet Microsoft 365 Backup, powered by Druva, protects Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, Groups and Microsoft Entra ID, as configured. It keeps an independent copy outside your Microsoft 365 tenant, so you can search for and restore individual items, whole users or whole sites after deletion or a ransomware incident.
In detail
What is in and out of scope:
- In scope: Exchange Online mail, OneDrive files, SharePoint Online sites, Teams content, Groups and Entra ID, as configured
- Not covered by this subscription: Google Workspace, data stored only on laptops, and servers or non-Microsoft 365 applications, unless separately scoped
- Licensing: per protected user, with no backup servers for you to run and no storage-cap planning
- Operations: run by your team by default, or by FirstNet with the optional Managed Backup Service
Typical restore times are minutes for a single email or file, hours for a full user's mailbox and OneDrive, and hours to one or two days for a full SharePoint site or Teams content. These are typical ranges, not SLAs.
For laptop data outside OneDrive, add FirstNet Endpoint Backup. For servers and virtual machines, FirstNet Backup as a Service uses Veeam.
