Short answer
Yes. FirstNet manages the whole move from a legacy PBX, including number porting, configuration and a phased rollout to minimise disruption. Migration paths cover on-premises PBXs, 3CX, Mitel and similar systems.
In detail
The migration sequence:
- Design: FirstNet's voice engineers scope users, sites, numbers, integrations, any Teams use and the cutover approach.
- Port: geographic and non-geographic numbers are ported end to end by FirstNet, and the cutover plan is signed off with you.
- Deploy: Linkus apps are rolled out, IVR, queues and recording are configured, any AI add-ons are trained, and user acceptance testing is completed.
- Operate: handover to a named support team with documented runbooks.
You choose between two cutover styles. A side-by-side cutover runs old and new systems in parallel while users move in waves, which suits larger or more complex estates. A big-bang cutover moves everything in a single weekend or after-hours window, which suits smaller sites.
Before cutover you will need a finalised user list, a signed Letter of Authority for your numbers, an agreed change window and phones or softphones ready for day one. If your current PBX still has life in it, FirstNet SIP Trunks can connect it instead.
