How many languages does the FirstNet AI Receptionist speak?

Cloud PBX & Unified Communications · Answered by FirstNet Technology Services

Short answer

FirstNet AI Receptionist supports 34 languages. You can also customise the AI voice, including gender, tone and persona, so it sounds consistent with your brand.

In detail

How language set-up works:

  • The languages your callers actually use are confirmed during scoping, together with the voice and persona.
  • The AI Receptionist is trained on your own content, such as PDFs, documents, website pages and FAQs, so answers reflect your business.
  • Routing rules direct callers by intent to the right menu, queue or extension.
  • Complex or sensitive intents are escalated to a human agent in the Linkus app, with the transcript and AI summary attached.

Multilingual answering suits businesses with diverse customers, such as logistics and distribution companies, retailers and franchises, healthcare practices and public-sector lines serving citizens. It is especially useful after hours and during overflow, when the AI Receptionist may be the first voice a caller hears.

FirstNet AI Transcription, the companion add-on for turning calls into text, also supports multiple languages. Its active language list follows the current platform release and is confirmed by FirstNet's voice engineers during scoping, so check both lists against your callers' languages before you commit.
