Short answer
Yes. Yeastar P-Series is a cloud PBX platform with unified communications features, mobile apps and call centre capabilities. FirstNet uses it as the platform underneath FirstNet Managed Cloud PBX, which FirstNet sells, deploys, supports and bills as one managed service.
In detail
What the platform provides through FirstNet:
- Voice, video, chat and presence in one unified communications system.
- Linkus softphone and mobile apps for hybrid and remote teams.
- Call queues, IVR, recording, reporting and monitoring.
- Optional FirstNet AI Receptionist and AI Transcription add-ons.
- Hosting in South Africa for low latency, with local termination on FirstNet's network.
The difference with FirstNet is the managed layer on top. FirstNet handles design, number porting, deployment and day-to-day operations, with one contract, one bill and a South African support team as the single escalation path.
Migration paths cover on-premises PBXs, 3CX, Mitel and similar systems, using either a side-by-side cutover in waves or a single weekend cutover for smaller sites. Businesses that already own a Yeastar or another SIP-compliant PBX can instead connect it to FirstNet SIP Trunks.
