How to choose a site:
- FirstNet Durban: best for a base in Durban or KwaZulu-Natal, or a Durban-region site for disaster recovery (DR). It also suits tightly controlled processes under FirstNet's own facility control.
- Teraco Isando: best for a Johannesburg base and dense carrier and cloud ecosystems. It offers NAPAfrica peering and cloud on-ramps such as Azure ExpressRoute and AWS Direct Connect.
- Teraco Cape Town (CT1 and CT2): best for a Western Cape base, local hosting or DR.
- Teraco Riverhorse: one more KwaZulu-Natal option, for carrier choice or a secondary Durban-region site.
The Durban site also links straight into FirstNet's private cloud, backup and network services. At each site, FirstNet is your single accountable provider. That covers commercials, design, connectivity, arranging access and support. Each site also keeps your systems in South Africa.
