Short answer
Yes. FirstNet offers hosted firewalls and SD-WAN options where they fit. That way, security is designed into your network, not added later.
In detail
Security and connectivity go together. Firewalls, segmentation, secure access and traffic control must match the network design. Managed services keep those controls the same across sites and providers. The options include:
- FirstNet hosted firewall and network security services.
- FirstNet SD-WAN with built-in security policy enforcement. FirstNet's Security and Connectivity teams check the design together.
- Peplink bonded edge devices, paired with FirstNet firewall as a service for security at the edge.
- Your own firewall, connected behind a router managed by FirstNet on an Ethernet handoff.
- Direct cloud peering, with access to cloud resources based on policy.
Guest networks are part of edge security too. FirstNet Managed Guest Wi-Fi keeps guest traffic on its own SSID or VLAN, apart from business systems.
For estates with many sites, you get the same security posture at each branch, with one partner to hold to account. FirstNet's Security team can scope the right edge design during discovery.
