Short answer
FirstNet gives you dashboards and reports that show uptime, usage, latency and incident history for your internet services. Monitored links also come with alerts and monthly service reviews.
In detail
This view runs on FirstNet's monitoring tools and its 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC):
- Telemetry, alerts and live dashboards across the backbone and managed links.
- PRTG link monitoring, with SNMP up/down alerts and bandwidth tracking on every managed router.
- Performance measures such as latency, packet loss, jitter and link usage, not just line status.
- Incident history, so repeat faults and trends are easy to see.
- Published performance metrics and regular reviews to keep service quality up.
The aim is open, clear performance data. You see how your links are performing and why, instead of only hearing about it when something breaks. That view also helps planning. For example, you can schedule a capacity upgrade before usage becomes a constraint.
For multi-site estates, FirstNet SD-WAN adds a central view across all sites. Managed Peplink setups add per-link visibility through InControl 2. Service management follows ITIL-aligned incident, problem and change processes, with clear SLAs and escalation paths.
