How much IT effort does FirstNet Apex BI Clarity need to set up?

Telephone Management & Cost Control · Answered by FirstNet Technology Services

Short answer

Very little on a FirstNet voice platform. On FirstNet Hosted PBX the call data feed is native, so there is nothing for your team to connect. For Microsoft Teams, your Global Admin grants Microsoft Graph API permissions once during onboarding.

In detail

What your team is asked to do:

  • Agree the cost-centre model and how many people need live wallboard views.
  • For Teams: have a Microsoft 365 Global Admin grant the one-time Graph API consent.
  • For a legacy PBX: confirm CDR or SMDR feed access, so FirstNet can scope any adapter.
  • Review the pilot dashboards and chargeback rules with a pilot team.
  • Make supervisors and finance staff available for training before full rollout.

FirstNet handles the rest across five phases: prepare, plan, provision (tenant created, feeds connected and data flow validated), pilot (dashboards built and tuned over 2 to 4 weeks) and production. FirstNet provides project management, technical delivery and customer success support throughout.

Because Clarity is a productised cloud platform with Apex BI's roadmap behind it, changes such as Microsoft Graph API updates are handled in the product rather than by your team. Support, including escalation to Apex BI, runs through FirstNet as your single point of contact.
